Position Scrum Master Department Content Engineering Location Hyderabad Recruiter Sudha Rani Gollapally DEPARTMENT BRIEF The Content Collection Services team specializes in the development and maintenance of financial data research applications used by internal research analysts globally for the collection of our proprietary content. It is composed of highly talented and motivated individuals. This particular team is responsible for developing and enhancing tools that solves problems on the production floor with specific focus on Timeliness , Accuracy , Content , Coverage and usability , along with productivity of the operations. The team also develops common products that are integrated with many other tools as well. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES SCRUM MASTER We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a project management background to supervise and support a team in its transition to Agile and Scrum. He/ She is expected to serve as an expert on agile principles binding the engineering teams and the clients (content teams). Should have good exposure to work with Agile , Kanban , Lean and/ or Continuous Delivery methodologies and well equipped with agile metrics (cycle time/ velocity). Must have experience in handling team of size 10 -15 or more and must have managed at least 1 -2 agile projects within SCRUM Master capacity end to end. The candidate should have overall 5 -8 years of IT experience , with last 2 years working as Scrum Master. RESPONSIBILITIES Drive cross -team agile planning and cadence Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily standups , Sprint planning , Retrospectives) Work with Product Owner to ensure healthy backlog which are timely and complete Organize backlog of features , epics , stories , and tasks and build reports in JIRA Keep track on progress and make sure information flows between the team and the stakeholders Act and advise proactively to remove the impediments that prevent the team from achieving its goals Conduct performance metrics analysis and deliver reports to teams and senior management Work alongside the scrum masters on other site to ensure team synchronicity and its shared understanding of the process Coaching & helping teams to move from a pure waterfall model into agile way of thinking PERSONALITY Be able to garner respect from the team and be willing to get their hands dirty Be able to communicate well with team and create an environment of trust Be able to lead the team to self -organization Continually be growing one s craft , learning new tools and techniques to manage oneself and the team Be a Scrum ambassador , willing to ensure Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to , and be the voice of reason and authority Desire to bring disclosure and transparency and grow business trust Be able to work alongside scrum masters in remote location and create a trusty relationship with them JOB REQUIREMENTS MCA , B tech or any Engineering Background Experience of 5 -8 Years in Software industry Experience of at least 2 yrs. of experience as Scrum Master Experience in using Jira and other Agile development tools Experienced in working with globally spread cross -functional and multicultural teams Able to do excellent demos/ presentations , Experience in managing onshore/ offshore teams , Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understand fundamentals of iterative development Understand fundamentals of software development and processes Understand incremental deliveries and value of metrics Understand backlog tracking , burndown metrics , velocity and task definition Familiar with common agile practices , service -oriented environments Any of the Scrum Alliance CSM / CSP certification / PMI's Agile Certified Professional (ACP) is a plusJob Classification
