Senior Scrum Master - Hyderabad / Secunderabad @ Eagle Genomics

Job Description

As we continue on our exciting and pioneering journey at the forefront of life sciences and data science, we are looking for a Senior Scrum Master who can coach teams in agile practices, helping them improve the Scrum process.

Reporting to the Development Manager, this role will see you working as a servant leader, coaching product owners - for example, in writing good user stories - resolving impediments and shielding interference.

As an Agile expert, you will be responsible for ensuring the team follows Scrum values, principles and practices, and you will act as a change agent to adopt Agile in the organisation.

Your leadership abilities will enable you to help create self - organising teams that are flexible and fully productive during Sprints; and your excellent communication skills will enable you to collaborate and coordinate with Product Owners, Service Managers and Development Teams to ensure that sprints are managed successfully.

You ability to present various metrics will help the relevant stakeholders to understand and appreciate the progress of the various deliverables.

In this highly visible role, you will have significant interaction with product owners and regular contact with senior management.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a Scrum Master role, in medium to large teams
• 6 - 12 years of software experience managing medium to large projects
• Graduation level education in Engineering or MCA or M Sc (Computers)
• Scrum Master certification from a reputed Scrum standard organization, such as the Scrum Alliance
• Demonstrated experience in working on large scale, remotely located, multiple Scrum team projects that leverage continuous integration processes
• The ability to facilitate release planning, sprint review, sprint planning, and retrospective sessions with cross functional teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a passion for working in highly collaborative environments
• The ability to operate as a Servant Leader, Coach, and Agile evangelist to Agile teams and other personnel

• The ability to monitor and report on Agile metrics and team performance using information radiators such as burn down charts, release predictability charts and other progress/status reports
• Expertise in working with Jira
• Familiarity with common Agile practices, service - oriented environments and better development practices (User stories, ATDD, TDD, CI, Pairing, Automated Testing)
• The ability to coordinate, collaborate, scope, plan and timeline the sprints to deliver product as well as customer projects

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Agile PMP certification from PMI is a plus
• Experience in implementing cloud - based and microservices based projects
• Strong understanding of testing concepts
• Previous technical experience is a plus, especially with Python or UI technologies like Angular or React
• Working experience or knowledge in Project Management would be useful, but is not essential
