 Deputy General Manager - Business Development

Job Description

This position is unique within the Cleartrip group and will require collaboration with various internal stakeholders, including the Product Team, Partner Marketing, Connectivity Technical Support, and Business Development teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Channel partnership management: Act as the main point of contact for channel partners regarding connectivity and configuration-related issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with channel stakeholders, understand their technical requirements, and provide proactive support and solutions.
  • Coordination: Serve as a liaison between internal teams, external partners, and vendors to coordinate and resolve technical issues related to connectivity and tech infrastructure. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to ensure timely and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate issues: Identify and troubleshoot connectivity issues impacting channel partners, working closely with internal and external teams to diagnose and resolve problems. Escalate critical issues to appropriate stakeholders for prompt resolution.
  • Identify and onboard new potential connectivity partners.
  • Drive the execution of the business plan along with the business development team and bring new connectivity partners onboard.
  • Ensure timely support to the hotel's partners in case of any issue.
  • Assist in approaching new accommodation partners and improving the performance of existing partners on the platform.
  • Monitor business needs and collaborate with internal Product and Commercial Owners to develop new features
  • Scale up the International supply through third party suppliers/bed banks.
  • Identify the relevant supply partners as per the organisations growth plan in specific regions.
  • Take complete ownership of having the connectivity up and running. This would require liaising between internal product and tech as well as the supplier.
  • Be responsible for increasing the supply for International hotels translating to increased bookings.
  • Set regular business reviews with the suppliers to find out various opportunities of growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in partner development and business development in the technology industry.
  • Experience with technology platforms and solutions, demonstrating a reasonable understanding from a business perspective and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to manage projects involving multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Passion for technology and customer support, driven by creating solutions and building long-lasting, impactful business relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on optimizing efficiencies and planning ahead.
  • Self-starter mentality, motivated by personal performance and a desire to contribute to the team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to face challenges with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, work within constraints, and devise creative solutions.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, additional languages are a plus.
