- About The Role : The QA Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and execution of automated test frameworks and testing strategies to ensure the quality and performance of software applications. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in automation tools, the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products and good People management skills. Also, the candidate will be responsible for leading the automation testing efforts, developing and implementing automation strategies, and ensuring the overall quality of our software products. Take the lead and be personally responsible for ensuring the testing of various features across a variety of software platforms. Responsibilities : Leadership and Management : Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers and automation testers. Develop and implement QA processes, standards, and best practices. Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to under-stand project requirements and define testing strategies. 1:1's with the QA Team, Appraisals and good connections with every QA member of the teams. Automation Strategy : Design and implement automated test frameworks for functional, regression, per-formance, and scalability testing. Evaluate and recommend automation tools and technologies that align with the organization's needs. Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts to ensure maximum cov-erage and efficiency. Quality Assurance : Ensure that software products meet quality standards by overseeing the execution of automated and manual testing processes. Identify, report, and track defects and work with development teams to resolve is-sues. Continuously monitor and improve testing processes and methodologies to en-hance product quality. Collaboration And Communication : Work closely with development, product management, and operations teams to integrate QA into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Communicate test results, quality metrics, and risk assessments to stakeholders and senior management. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the QA team. Resource And Project Management : Plan and allocate resources for testing projects to ensure timely delivery. Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business goals. Monitor project progress and adjust testing strategies as needed to meet deadlines and quality objectives. Training and Development : Identify training needs and provide opportunities for team members to enhance their skills in automation and QA methodologies. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation testing. Technical Skills : Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with automated testing. Experience with cloud-based testing platforms and tools. Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies. Automation Strategy : Develop and implement an effective test automation strategy for various software projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and identify areas for test automation. Automation Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust test automation frameworks. Select appropriate automation tools and technologies to ensure efficiency and ef-fectiveness. Test Script Development : (Hands-on if required) Create and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and per-formance testing. Ensure that automated test scripts are reusable, maintainable, and adhere to coding standards. Execution and Analysis : (Hands-on If Required) Oversee the execution of automated test suites and analyse results to identify de-fects and areas for improvement. Work closely with manual testing teams to integrate automated testing into the overall testing process. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) : Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure early detection of is-sues. Monitor and manage automated test runs in CI/CD environments. Collaboration And Training : Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of quality. Provide training and mentorship to team members on test automation best prac-tices. Collaboration with all the Stakeholders Soft Skills : Excellent leadership, communication, 0interpersonal skills and People Manage-ment skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities. Education : Experiences and Skills : Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent related field. Master's degree is a plus. Experience : 15+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on automa-tion testing. 8+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within a QA team. Proven experience in developing and managing test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG). Preferred Qualifications : Certification in QA or Automation Testing (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester). Experience and knowledge with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
