Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Performance Testing Principal Consultant specializing in Performance Testing, you will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of our software applications under various workload conditions. You will lead performance testing initiatives, providing expert guidance and support to clients in optimizing their software performance. Your role will involve analyzing system requirements, designing, and executing performance test plans, identifying performance bottlenecks, and recommending solutions to improve system performance. Responsibilities Lead performance testing engagements, collaborating with clients to define performance objectives and success criteria. Analyse system architecture, requirements, and design to develop comprehensive performance test strategies and plans. Design and execute performance tests using industry-standard tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling to simulate realistic user scenarios and workloads. Monitor and analyse system performance metrics during test execution, identifying performance bottlenecks and areas for optimization. Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot performance issues, recommend performance improvements, and implement performance tuning strategies. Generate comprehensive performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders, including recommendations for performance optimization. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in performance testing and performance engineering methodologies. Mentor and coach junior performance testers, providing guidance on performance testing techniques, tools, and best practices. Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications / Skills Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience in performance testing and analysis, with a strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices. Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar. Experience in analysing system performance metrics and identifying performance bottlenecks. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Preferred Qualifications/ Skills Masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. Certifications in performance testing or related areas (e.g., Certified Performance Testing Professional). Experience with performance monitoring and profiling tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with performance testing of web applications, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices. Experience working in consulting or client-facing roles.
