Job Description
- The Department of Mechanical Engineering is active in the key areas of Design, Manufacturing, Robotics and Thermal Engineering with significant research programs and facilities. The department runs two undergraduate programs i.e., B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering; and Mechatronics, M.Tech. program in Systems Engineering, M.Tech. program in Robotics and the Ph.D. program. Mahindra University is actively looking for experienced faculties in the areas of Automation, Smart Manufacturing, Mechatronics, and 4.0. This is your opportunity to join the forward-thinking faculty of the University and participate in the building of excellence in the mentioned fields. Qualification PhD in Automation/Smart Manufacturing/Industry 4.0/Mechatronics for faculty positions with background in Mechanical Engineering. Ph.D. (preferably from IITs, IISc or from reputed institutions/universities abroad). A solid research record evidenced by high quality publications in high-impact journals. Strong commitment to teaching and guiding students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Commitment to improving research and bringing funded consultancy or external projects to the institute. Preferred Experience Proven skills of high-quality teaching, demonstrated excellence in research, scholarship, and teaching in Automation/Smart Manufacturing/Mechatronics/Advanced Manufacturing. Experience in research collaboration with other Universities and industries will be definite advantage. Industry experience in lieu of experience in academia will be considered. Job Description: Will be involved in teaching and conducting advanced research in the following areas: Automation and Smart Manufacturing Mechatronics: Mechatronics and Control Systems MEMS Sensors & Integration: MEMS, Sensors and Integration, experience in the development of MEMS or other kinds of Sensors will be an added advantage Digital twin, additive manufacturing, and related area.
