Job Description

Overview - Vendor development engineer who engages with Quality & supply for Procurement of parts. Plan and work with Supplier using SAP System for development activity & mass production at the required capacity and as per required Quality requirements. Technical Skills :- Supplier capacity assessment & ramp up to the required rate of production. Ensure first time right development & quality for the part / product. Execute required processes at supplier in casting, Machining, Measuring & Test equipment. Prepare production & quality documents viz. Process flow diagram, Control Plans, FMEA & Conduct MSA studies at supplier. Ensure first time right PSW & PPAP. Tracking of supplies as per project volume requirement as per business plan till the handover of the parts to Supply Chain for the outsourced BOM parts of different commodities. Internal department for smooth handover and sign off of the PSW/PPAP documents and handover to the SQA. VA/VE Activities: - Identify opportunity for RM Optimization & weight optimization. Alternate development through RM change Process optimization and process elimination or re-assessment Process Split Up & Cycle time improvements Competencies/Skills/Knowledge Functional: Experience in supply chain. Experience in SAP. Capacity Assessment & Capacity Planning Behavioral Result oriented.,
