 General Manager- Business Development

Job Description

  • As the GM , you'll be responsible for the strategic business planning and development of the FinTech customer segment with a focus on sales, account management and partnerships while supporting product, support & implementation teams to scale.
  • Sales experience in the Fintech industry either in agency banking, transactional banking, POS, Mobile wallets,
  • microfinance, aadhaar for devices and support software's or related area and have managed and led a sales force team.
  • You will be part of the Management Team and will shape the future of our business development strategy and execution.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Define and improve scalable end-to-end processes for sales and account management.
  • Monitor competitive and market activity and provide feedback and recommendations to executive team.
  • Develop plans and strategies to meet or exceed the revenue target in direct Sales.
  • Devise, implement, and modify as needed specific sales strategy that aligns with company goals.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
  • Actively looking for new marketing and operational business partnerships.
  • Document user needs and feedback and input into product development.
  • Set up and grow the team, develop structures, developing processes, overseeing staff, establish a highly motivated work environment, and create innovative approaches for improvement.
  • Full responsibility for the P&L and continuously develops initiatives to grow revenue and optimize expenses.
  • Collaborate and work closely with an extensive network of cross-functional stakeholders representing all departments in order to bring business to the next level.
  • Manage and drive day to day operations of the company.

Required Candidate profile

Background requirement

  • BE in Electronics/Telecommunication + MBA with 10 to 13 yrs. of experience in fintech industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Indian Financial Services landscape, and deep understanding of Payments / Banking / Financial Services.
  • Strong ability to set clear measurable objectives, delegate responsibilities, assess, recognize and reward performance.
  • Has an impressive track record in sales, operation and general management from related industry and excellent academic background.
  • Should have impressive track record of work in the Payment & Fintech domain.
  • Significant experience in setting up, managing and leading a high performing team.
  • Strong leadership with excellent influencing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent business acumen and willingness to work within tight deadlines.
  • Experience in managing P&L, and building alliances with service & solution providers.
  • Proficient in data analysis and can utilize new analytical tools - data driven decision making.

Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize immediate, short-term goals and simultaneously focus on strategic, long-term goals.
  • Deep understanding of complex sales processes and products within a regulated landscape.
  • Strong ability to work and stay organized in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.

  • Access to a large network of local decision-makers within corporates/fintech's/banks.
  • Proven track record of developing and closing complex sales deals from the ground up.
