Job Description We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis focusing on Budgeting, Forecasting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Competitive Intelligence, and Corporate Development (FP&A) to join our team at iSOCRATES in Mysuru. This talented executive will oversee iSOCRATES" financial planning and analysis activities, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning for our consulting, managed services, and AI-based B2B SaaS lines of business. The Senior Manager, FP&A will collaborate closely with senior leadership, business lines and department heads to understand and ensure the alignment of financial strategies, resources and performance targets to drive business success at iSOCRATES. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across multiple business units, ensuring alignment with Indian and US financial reporting standards (IND-AS, US GAAP). Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, cash flow projections, and long-term strategic initiatives in compliance with Indian and US regulatory frameworks. Conduct detailed variance analysis on financial performance, including Profit and Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, adhering to the necessary standards for each jurisdiction. Monitor and report key financial KPIs to senior leadership with actionable insights, ensuring adherence to Indian and US corporate governance and regulatory requirements. Financial Reporting: Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submission to stakeholders, including senior management and external auditors, in compliance with Indian (IND-AS) and US (US GAAP) financial reporting regulations. Prepare management reports and presentations on financial performance, highlighting performance against budget and strategic objectives, with considerations for tax regulations (GST, Income Tax in India, and Federal/State tax laws in the US). Financial Strategy & Advisory: Collaborate with leadership teams to develop and implement financial strategies to achieve business goals while considering tax planning strategies for Indian and US regulations (e.g., Transfer Pricing, VAT, GST, tax treaties). Provide expert financial advice to business unit heads, identifying opportunities for cost optimization, profitability improvements, and overall financial efficiencies, in compliance with local tax laws and international financial standards. Evaluate capital investments, pricing strategies, and major financial initiatives to drive business success while aligning with Indian and US financial regulations. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business unit leaders, department heads, and senior management, ensuring effective communication and decision-making based on the latest regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to ensure compliance with financial reporting, audits, and regulatory requirements in both India and the US (e.g., SOX compliance in the US, Indian tax filings, and audit requirements). Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals with expertise in Indian and US financial regulations. Ensure the team is equipped with the right tools, knowledge, and training to deliver high-quality financial insights and reporting while adhering to corporate governance and regulatory compliance in both regions. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to accounting standards (IND-AS, US GAAP), tax regulations (GST, Income Tax in India, and Federal/State taxes in the US), and other financial compliance requirements, both local and global. Proactively identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, including ensuring compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and financial regulations (e.g., SEBI guidelines in India and SEC regulations in the US). Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements to streamline financial operations, reporting processes, and systems, ensuring alignment with Indian and US financial regulations. Leverage automation and advanced analytics to enhance decision-making and efficiency in financial processes while ensuring regulatory compliance. Corporate Development & Competitive Intelligence: Support competitive intelligence, brand investment, and both managed price and product-side business operations while adhering to financial regulations in both markets (Indian FDI norms, US antitrust laws). Provide regular presentations to investors, board members, and the advisory board, showcasing financial performance and strategic initiatives while ensuring alignment with financial disclosure requirements. Contribute to corporate development efforts, including identifying and evaluating merger and acquisition (M&A) opportunities in compliance with Indian and US regulatory frameworks (e.g., FEMA, US SEC filings). Assist in due diligence and integration processes for M&A activities, ensuring compliance with both Indian and US tax and regulatory guidelines. FP&A Management Reporting: Execute FP&A management reporting activities for senior management, including building budgets, forecasts, and projections for various markets, ensuring compliance with Indian and US financial reporting standards. Perform variance analysis to highlight key trends and provide explanations for variances against budget/projections, taking into account regulatory impacts. Special Projects & Ad-hoc Analysis: Execute special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses to ensure effective outcomes, while considering the regulatory environments in both India and the US. Propose improvements for management reporting and forecasting processes, aiming to deliver key business outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the Corporate FP&A team and other business units to ensure consistency in financial processes and alignment with corporate policies, tax strategies, and financial regulations in both countries. Maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders and engage with global finance leadership to ensure the smooth execution of financial strategies, considering both Indian and US regulatory standards. Process Governance & Industry Best Practices: Develop and maintain a consistent, end-to-end process governance framework to drive process improvement and align with industry best practices while complying with Indian and US regulations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring all financial processes are efficient, transparent, and aligned with business needs while adhering to financial, tax, and reporting requirements. Qualifications & Skills CA (Chartered Accountant) / CPA / MBA in Finance or a related field, with additional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) being desirable. 12+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting, with at least 6 years in FP&A or financial management roles. Proven experience managing financial planning, forecasting, and reporting in large, complex organizations with knowledge of Indian (IND-AS) and US (US GAAP) accounting standards. In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards (IND-AS), taxation (GST, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing), and regulatory environment (FEMA, SEBI) as well as US financial regulations (SOX, SEC, IRS). Strong experience with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) and ERP software, ensuring compliance with both Indian and US regulatory frameworks. Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling tools. Prior experience working with senior management and cross-functional teams to implement business strategies in compliance with local financial regulations. Proven ability to drive financial performance improvements through actionable insights while ensuring regulatory compliance in India and the US. Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring capabilities with a focus on compliance and regulatory awareness. Willing to work from our Mysore office. Willing to work in 3 PM (ET shifts).,
