Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with 3 to 7 years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and website integration/development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the seamless integration of web applications. This role requires a strong understanding of DevOps practices, cloud services, and web technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and robust AWS cloud infrastructure using best practices and industry standards.
- Automation and Deployment: Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of applications.
- Website Integration: Collaborate with development teams to integrate web applications with various services and APIs, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
- Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Implement monitoring solutions to track system performance, identify issues proactively, and optimize system performance.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud infrastructure and applications adhere to security best practices and compliance standards, implementing necessary controls and procedures
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to manage infrastructure as code, enabling reproducible and version-controlled environments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on AWS and web application integration/development.
- Proficiency in AWS services and tools, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
- Experience with automation/configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
