Position Summary:


We are looking for a someone who can provide exceptional customer experience to a broad range of clients and ensure the fast and effective management of client workflows to join the S&P Cappitech Support and Operations team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in communicating with clients, answering regulatory queries, and resolving daily reporting issues. Ideally the candidate will have some experience in EMIR, MiFID, ASIC, CFTC, SEC andor SFTR. The role is client facing and requires a high degree of technical competence. The successful candidate should have both strong analytical and problem-solving skills. HeShe will be required to use both technical skills and financialregulatory knowledge to resolve issues.


Duties and Accountabilities:


  • Dealing with customer enquiries and requests and managing them efficiently and in a timely manner until resolution
  • Helping clients understand how the solution works and how to resolve reporting issues.
  • Coordinate with application support and development teams on identifying bugs, issues and testing fixes.
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner and ensure follow and resolution. 
  • Assist in validation or UAT for issue resolution.
  • Working on Client specific projects
  • Work on Root Cause Analysis for data inconsistencies
  • Troubleshoot client inquiries and issues involving reviewing client data in different formats, i.e., excel file, JSON, XML, FpML messages and comparing against our mapping sheets, technical specifications, business requirements to resolve issues or identify system bugs.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, technology, or similar discipline
  • Any Financial Course FRM, CFA etc. is preferred.
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Excel, SQL, API
  • 5- 7 years of experience in financial markets business or fintech
  • Understanding of the trade lifecycle for major financial asset classes across securities Finance, exchange-traded, and OTC derivatives
  • Good Understanding of the financial markets and Regulatory Reporting Regimes (SFTR/MiFID/EMIR)
  • Ability to grasp concepts of a technical nature.
  • Querying and extracting data from a database
  • Knowledge of other vendor systems is preferred.
