Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Train project teams, senior stakeholders and clients on agile principles, values and effective implementation of the methodology
  • Act as a change leader, motivate the team to develop an Agile mindset transforming them into high performing units, while being an integrated part of the team
  • Actively participate in all agile ceremonies to review effectiveness and drive continuous improvement for implementing SCRUM and (or) KANBAN frameworks
  • Establish metrics and maturity/ fluency models for assessing effectiveness of methodology adoption
  • Work closely with client stakeholders (across technology, operations and business teams) for ensuring business value realization through the effective implementation of methodology
  • Support the identification, implementation and effectiveness of tools to support effective Agile adoption across teams
  • Mentor other leads and key team members i.e. SCRUM Masters, Product Owners,

Kanban leads to develop future Agile change leaders

  • Work with the Delivery Excellence team for developing the organisational adoption of Agile and integrating Agile into the organisational process/ metrics framework
  • Play a key role in establishing Agile communities/ special interest groups within the organisation and help facilitate industry wide networking
  • Work with senior leaders to establish effective Agile delivery governance framework
  • Provide hands-on support to people/ teams and share objective feedback for developing Agile competencies in the organisation and for developing high performance Agile teams
  • Collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles
  • Act as a thought leader on the methodology and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.

Experience and competencies required


  • 11 to 16 years of experience in delivery/ consulting roles in the IT services space with 4+ years in leadership role(s)
  • Expert level proficiency on Agile Methodology and deep understanding of frameworks like SCRUM, KANBAN and SCRUMBAN supported by 3+ years of hands on Agile coaching experience with demonstrated outcomes in an IT services setup
  • Practitioner experience as an Agile lead in delivering IT projects/ programs as a SCRUM Master or a Kanban lead
  • Should have led cross functional and geographically distributed teams with 15+ team members
  • Extensive experience across the SDLC and with diverse engagement models, pricing models and service offerings
  • Prior experience in IT project management and estimation while working with clients based in the US/ UK
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools: JIRA, TFS, or equivalent, Microsoft Project, VSS, Sonar cube, Fisheye, Jenkins, and all Office Tools
  • Ability to proactively call out issues and risks and provide solutions
  • Consultative & Solution-oriented - Ability to propose design and development approach.
  • Understand and appreciate solution frameworks and architectures
  • Strong application development background
  • Strong technical background in Java technology stack. Should be abreast with new age technologies
  • Support presales initiatives in estimation
  • Strong workshop facilitation skills
  • Must have managed senior managers and leads as a people manager/ supervisor
  • Should have managed senior stakeholders at a Director/ VP level or above
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Quick learner, innovative, proactive, flexible, and adaptable


Agile certifications like CSM, SAFe, etc. are preferred
