Job Description

  • The Executive - Procurement (JSM) is responsible for managing the procurement activities for JSM (Job Supplies and Materials) in an organization
  • This role involves coordinating and executing procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining inventory levels
  • The Executive - Procurement (JSM) works closely with internal stakeholders, such as project managers, engineers, and finance teams, to meet the organization's procurement needs effectively and efficiently

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans for JSM in alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Analyze procurement requirements, forecast demand, and create procurement schedules
  • Supplier Management: Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms
  • Maintain a database of approved suppliers and conduct regular supplier performance evaluations
  • Sourcing and Procurement: Source and procure JSM goods and materials based on defined specifications and requirements
  • Obtain quotations, issue purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Contract Management: Review and manage contracts with suppliers, including terms and conditions, delivery schedules, and payment terms
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and resolve any disputes or issues that may arise
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of JSM items to meet operational needs
  • Conduct regular inventory audits, analyze usage patterns, and implement inventory control measures
  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in the procurement function
  • Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, explore alternative sourcing options, and implement cost-effective procurement strategies
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant procurement policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks and implement effective risk management practices
