The Executive - Procurement (JSM) is responsible for managing the procurement activities for JSM (Job Supplies and Materials) in an organization
This role involves coordinating and executing procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining inventory levels
The Executive - Procurement (JSM) works closely with internal stakeholders, such as project managers, engineers, and finance teams, to meet the organization's procurement needs effectively and efficiently
Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans for JSM in alignment with organizational goals and objectives
Analyze procurement requirements, forecast demand, and create procurement schedules
Supplier Management: Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms
Maintain a database of approved suppliers and conduct regular supplier performance evaluations
Sourcing and Procurement: Source and procure JSM goods and materials based on defined specifications and requirements
Obtain quotations, issue purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Contract Management: Review and manage contracts with suppliers, including terms and conditions, delivery schedules, and payment terms
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and resolve any disputes or issues that may arise
Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of JSM items to meet operational needs
Conduct regular inventory audits, analyze usage patterns, and implement inventory control measures
Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in the procurement function
Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, explore alternative sourcing options, and implement cost-effective procurement strategies
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant procurement policies, procedures, and regulations
Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks and implement effective risk management practices
