Job Description
The Position
Rightsline is looking for a full-time Test Engineer to join our Quality and Experience team. We need a meticulous, logical tester with excellent communication skills and a passion for solving problems. Experience testing enterprise software is preferred. The desire to learn and the ability to adapt are required. As a Test Engineer, you will ensure quality and consistency by interpreting feature requirements, documenting and executing test cases, reporting issues, and contributing ideas for product improvement. In addition, you will be working with automation tools to ensure the continuous growth of automated test cases by writing automated scripts.
This role reports to the QA Manager, and is in constant collaboration with the Engineering, Product, and Customer teams. The Test Analyst is an integral part of building the most comprehensive, intuitive, technology-forward platform with the goal of maximizing the value of intellectual property. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment with a team who shares your passion for building impactful products.
**We are looking to fill this role in a hybrid environment, at the moment**
What you will do:
- Design and implement automated test cases
- Execute and review and troubleshoot daily runs
- Identify and report issues found by automation
- Update automated tests based on the new requirements
- Design and execute test plans for new and existing features
- Test and provide feedback on new features continuously, as they are developed
- Identify and report issues and areas of improvement
- Thoroughly test resolved bug tickets in testing environments
- Be available for regularly scheduled releases and emergency patches in the evening
- Collaborate with teammates to investigate and verify issues proactively
- Report results clearly via tools such as Jira and TestMo
- Contribute to recurring scrum team events and communicate openly and often
What you will bring to the role:
- Bachelors degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or other related field combined with up to 3 years of strong automation experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong understanding of programming concepts and hands-on experience with at least one programming language ( JS/TS, Python, Java)
- At least 5 years of experience in Automation testing
- At least 1 year of experience with Playwright + JS/TS
- At least 1 year of experience with API testing
- Good knowledge of automation best practices
- At least 1 year of experience with Performance/load testing (Jmeter/Bazemeter)
- Experience with Cypress +JS/TS
- Expertise and efficiency in designing, developing, and implementing automated code solutions
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tools, familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (Github Actions, AWS)
- Experience with API Automation with Cypress, Playwright
- Good understanding of Git commands and Git branching strategy
- Ability to write clear, readable, and reusable test scripts
- Strong sense of ownership and proven ability to adapt when priorities change
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Team-first mindset, and a willingness to learn new features and shape new processes
- Ability to do functional, regression, smoke, performance/load, and exploratory testing
- Ability to communicate effectively via remote collaboration tools like Slack and Zoom
