(Senior) Test Engineer
The position
As an experienced (Senior) Test Engineer you will participate in the complete development process from requirements to acceptance. Your tasks will include review and provide input for requirements, create test plans, write test specifications, participate in manual and automated testing, analyze and interpret results, problem reports and change requests. Youll do this for both our hard real-time environment where motion control, ultrasonic, and other real-time hardware control occurs as well as our Windows-or Linux based GUI environment, database management, and factory interface systems reside.
Youll be part of a team of experienced testers that work closely with our software developers and coordinate closely in interdisciplinary testing with other hardware disciplines.
Your profile
To be successful in this challenging job, youll need to have a Bachelors Degree or higher and bring at least 5 years of proven test experience, solid knowledge of test processes and techniques, preferably in a (motion) control multidisciplinary software and hardware environment. Besides this, you should have a strong affinity with software development.
Responsibilities
- Performing manual and automated testing both on simulations and physical equipment
- Building detailed technical domain knowledge
- Co-specifying and reviewing (test)requirements
- Performing software testing tasks from verbal instructions or written descriptions
- Implementing automated testing / coverage testing / automation scripting
- Performing analysis of electro-mechanical systems behavior from systems outputs
- Contributing to test process improvements
Skills:
- 2-3 years of software coding experience in Java or Python
- A Bachelors degree or higher is preferred
- Experienced with Risk Based Testing and Agile testing
- Experience in all phases of the development process
- Experience with the Ranorex and Robot Framework test suite is a plus
- Experience with Git source code management
