Localization Project Manager @ Mayflower Language

Job Description

Typical tasks:

- Single POC for all software translationactivities.

- Crowdin tool administrator and owner

- Fetch latest source files from git re-pository

- Pre-process the source file

- Upload translation packages to crowdin

- Assign translation tasks to translators

- Review the translation quotations prior to approval

- Coordinate with translators for timely delivery

- Assist the translators with any doubts specific to lingual rules

- Post-process the translated deliveries and notify internal stakeholders

- Mondays (Uploading translation packages), Friday (Receive deliveries)

- Include pseudo localization and in-context localization files in the weekly translation cycles

- Merge the translated assetsinto git repository.

- Maintain the Translation Memory(TM) in crowdin

- Take regular backups of translation assets and TM

- Instantiate the product in different locales and perform sanity check for all 15 languages(no lingual review needed but just to see if the product switches the languages well)

- Create JIRA tickets for any issues observed.

Requirements:

- 3 to 5 years of experience as LPM or related profile

- Working knowledge of Crowdin

- Understanding of complete software localization process

- Working knowledge of git

- Comfortable with JIRA reporting

- Excellent communication and project management skills

- Ability to perform and deliver with minimum supervision

Good to have:

- Proficiency in Japnese/German

- Comfortable with creating scripts using Perl or javascript
