Hardware Test Engineer

Domnic Lewis has mandated to Hire a Hardware Test Engineer for a leading Product Based Company with Products like Electric Motors and Converter

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and testing of electronics hardware.

Oversee technical development within projects, aligning with customer requirements and industry standards, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

Plan and coordinate hardware functional, environmental, EMI-EMC, hardware integration, and customer-related tests.

Collaborate with local and global suppliers for prototype development and engage external labs for testing.

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills/Competencies required:

Hold a bachelor's or masters degree in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, or Electrical Engineering.

Possess extensive experience in the hardware testing life cycle, including requirements management, design, development, verification and validation, and qualification and certification testing.

Demonstrated expertise in Analog, Digital, and Signal electronics (0 to 15V, etc.).

Hands-on experience in Linear, SMPS, signal conditioning, and driver circuit design and testing.

Strong knowledge of EMI/EMC certification and environmental compliances such as CE and e/E markings.

Familiarity with IEC, CISPR, ISO, and SAE standards.

Proficiency in various communication protocols, including CAN, RS232, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and wireless technologies.

Good understanding of PCB design guidelines for signal integrity, high-speed design, and EMI/EMC considerations.

Knowledge of Design for Functional Safety (IEC 61508), PCB Designing, Component engineering, EMI/EMC testing/simulation, and power electronics is advantageous.

Practical experience in analog and digital hardware design, circuit simulations using tools like PSpice and LTspice, along with familiarity with Polarion (or equivalent), DOORS, and EDA tools.

Ability to analyze analog and digital circuits for functionality, perform FMEA, stress analysis, derating, worst-case analysis, and tolerance analysis.

Proven experience in building prototypes in-house or sourcing them from external suppliers.

An automotive background with expertise in Power electronics and ISO26262, using tools like Polarion, is an added advantage.

Hands-on experience in functional testing and debugging of complex hardware.

Proficient in writing detailed test plans and procedures, including qualification test procedures.

Competence in various tests related to Conducted Emissions, Immunity, Radiated Emissions, Immunity, and Environmental Testing.

Familiarity with test equipment such as CRO, Function Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Logic Analyzer, Thermal Chambers, etc.

A proven track record in product development, quality assurance, reliability engineering, and robust design.

Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Experience working with cross-cultural teams across multiple locations.
