Amazon is seeking Operations Analyst to join Taskless Tax Team. Our vision is to help Amazon meet their Withholding Tax(WHT) compliance requirements, while providing the disproportionate value to our customers(Sellers/Vendor). The role will have India WHT focus, including design and implementation of WHT controls, identification and mitigation of risk, management of quality control, and identification and implementation of process improvements.
In this role, you will execute WHT processes and systems and support Product Managers and Technology team to design and deliver solutions that ensure those systems and processes are operating in a controlled environment, complaint with Amazon finance policies and local tax regulations, and above all delighting our customers.
Stakeholder groups include Amazon businesses, technology teams, Product teams, advisory teams, corporate tax, accounts payable, and accounting.
Key job responsibilities
o Work on tax identity collection, withholding, reporting and other transactional tax obligations
o Reconcile expense ledger with tax payable, TDS returns preparation and filings to taxing authorities
o Prepare materials needed for tax provisions at year end and tax audit
o Payment to nonresidents and it s tax implications
o Effectively communicate with both internal and external teams and customers
o Leverage end-to-end process knowledge, including systems and portals
o Serve as the FinOps Tax lead on India Tax multi-year project, including collaboration with the core project team, coordination of tax requirements, process generation, etc.
o Authoring reactive/pro-active blurbs, FAQs, and help documentation
o Define key metrics and create metrics reports and set up reporting process
o Provide additional support as needed such as training India Ops team and develop expertise in the team
o Document management of tax filings and work papers, assist with vendor inquiries, and ad hoc projects
o Partner with co-workers to increase productivity by eliminating duplications and coordinating information requirements. Drive process improvement initiatives to reduce manual efforts
o Effectively resolve and escalate issues, demonstrate a consistent timely track record of delivery

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- 2+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Master's degree
