Cyber Data Risk & Resilience - Non Financial Risk Tech Application & Data Engineering (ADE) department supports Non-Financial Risk Tech (NFRT) across the globe. NFRT super-department is part of Cyber Data Risk & Resilience division. The department is responsible for providing a reliable, robust and fast Continuous Integration system by maintaining and evolving the CI/CD pipeline. NFRT provides operational controls and surveillance capabilities to enhance the firm's resilience to. threats and fraudulent behavior. Our support of critical business functions extends to archival & records management, business continuity planning and due diligence investigations. Job Profile As a Data Engineer with Python dev role, you will be a member of the Data Governance and Technology development team, with specific focus developing data solutions for Non-Financial Risk Technology within Morgan Stanley. In this role you will be primarily responsible for the development of data workflows, pipelines, views, and stored procedures, in addition to performing data analysis, and monitoring and tuning queries and data loads. You will be working closely with data providers, data scientists, data developers, and data analytics teams to facilitate the implementation of client-specific business requirements and requests. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, implement, and maintain architecture working with Graph, No SQL and RDBMS databases, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and data integrity Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Python-based software solutions. Configure and manage Graph DB, including ontology modelling, data integration, semantic graph querying, and reasoning capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze database requirements and provide recommendations for optimal RDBMS and DB solutions. Proven experience on Python/Shell scripting to automate database tasks, such as data extraction, transformation, loading, monitoring, and maintenance. Experience in developing ETLs, stored procedures, triggers, and views on our DB2-based Data Warehouse Provide assistance and guidance during the QA & UAT phases to quickly confirm the validity of potential issues and to determine the root cause and best resolution of verified issues Primary Skills At least 5-8 years of experience in data development and solutions in highly complex data environments with large data volumes & SQL / PLSQL experience with the ability to write ad-hoc and complex queries to perform data analysis Experience with Cloud Data Platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, AWS or Azure At least 5+ years of experience developing complex stored procedures, triggers, MQTs and views on IBM DB2 (experience with v10.5 a plus) Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions Strong problem-solving skills.
