Job Description And Qualifications Job Description Summary The job holder is one of the key members of project engineering & design team responsible for the civil and structural analysis & design, perform calculations for pipe racks, process structures, equipment foundations, buildings, connection design, etc. and perform checking of 3D model and drawings. Job Description I. POSITION SUMMARY: To deliver safe, fit for purpose Civil & Structural (C&S) deliverables to an agreed schedule within approved budget. II. NATURE AND SCOPE: The job holder is one of the key members of project engineering & design team responsible for the civil and structural analysis & design, perform calculations for pipe racks, process structures, equipment foundations, buildings, connection design, etc. and perform checking of 3D model and drawings. III. DIMENSIONS: Responsible to generate calculations and material estimates for moderate to complex Civil & Structural scope. Perform checking of. calculations generated by other engineers based assigned role. Responsible for review of Vendor documents, Interdisciplinary check (IDC) documents. Interface with other engineering disciplines like piping, mechanical, electrical, process controls, etc. A C&S Engineer acts as the technical interface with AP project execution teams for C & S designs. The primary purpose is the delivery of a safe, fit for purpose plant design including analysis to an agreed schedule and budget. IV. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Safety and rigorous adherence to relevant specification and standards for all C&S Engineering Deliverables. Accountable for the engineering scope adherence in accordance with project specification & standards. Analysis & Design of equipment foundations like compressors, pumps, static & dynamic equipment, storage tanks, cooling tower basin & sump etc. Other civil designs pipe rack foundations, structure foundations, civil pipe supports, water tanks, miscellaneous foundations, etc. Complex Steel structure designs - technological structures, pipe racks, compressor shelters, platforms, ladders, etc. Design of modular steel structures including sea transportation, land transportation and lifting analysis. Effectively communicate by email, .ppt or face to face APs execution strategies, schedule issues and project requirements. Implementation of quality procedures. Maintain Business Safety Principals (BSP) targets. V . MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: An Engineering Degree (or equivalent) and relevant work experience of 6-12 years. Good written and spoken English and strong communication skills Experience of working on industrial plants in Oil & Gas, petrochemical industry. Must be familiar with an engineering organization, the function of each discipline and how they interact and the function of the various support groups globally. Conversant with international codes applicable for Civil & Structural engineering. (e.g. Indian, American, Canadian, Eurocodes, etc.) Experience working with software such as STAAD pro, MAT-3D, Foundation 3D and capable of manual design by using spread sheet program.
