Job Description
- Introduce companys Environmental management system , including writing and review of associated policies and procedures capturing day to day changes in legislation
- Promote and raise awareness among the management and staff of the impact of emerging environmental issues and corrective measure
- Conduct plant round and perform environmental survey on routine basis. Audit, analyse and report environmental performance to internal, external clients and regulatory bodies (As and when required in consolation with the management)
- Checking of Ambient Air Quality, Stack Emission, Noise Level, fugitive emissions including any leakages/spillages, Pollution Control Devices Performance Monitoring
- Regular audit of waste material management in coordination with HODs
- Monitor and advise on the performance of the ETP/STP plant operation including water analysis
- Regular sampling and testing of all environmental monitoring points such as soil, drains, effluent discharge etc to ensure compliance with permit requirements
- Liaise with Govt. bodies like GPCB, CPCB to get information about any upcoming govt officials' visit and inform the management and key personnel
- Lead the audit to be conducted by govt. authorities in company premises and provide required documentation to the visiting authorities to ensure satisfactory results of audit. Draft report of audit/ suggestions given by them and forward it to the management for further action
- Maintenance of records related to internal & external audits conducted time to time
- Up keeping of documentations required for external audit all the time
- Up keeping of Environmental Management System policies and procedures
- Prepare responses to legal notices received in timely manner
