Job Description

Virbhu India Pvt Ltd Vadodara (Gujarat), a wholly owned subsidiary of AK Power Solutions (USA), operating in the field of power electronics, has an immediate opening for a Control Simulation & Software Engineer. The Control Simulation & Software Engineer is responsible for the simulation of power electronic converters based on different topologies along with HIL testing of the converter software. They will be responsible for proving the control topology and algorithm, support the firmware engineers, and support in overall testing of the converter. Responsibilities Develop, simulate, and test control strategies for power electronic converters. Development, preparation, and adaptation of simulation models as per project requirement and architecture. Setup, configuring and use real time simulators. Run test scripts on the real time simulators. Generate software test reports. Set parameters that support the application portion of the software. Maintain necessary. documents related to model development. Configuration management and application software release. Qualifications BTech or MTech. in Power Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or Electrical. Minimum of 10 years of experience working in modeling and application software for medium to high power electronic converters. Prior experience using real time simulators and hardware in loop testing with dSPACE, PLEXIM, OPAL-RT, or Typhoon. Hands-on experience on simulation Tools like MATLAB, Simulink, PLECS and configuration management tools such as GitHub, Jira, or Serena Dimensions. Knowledge of embedded software or firmware development languages like C/C++, Function Block Diagrams, Sequential Function Charts, Structured Text, etc. for an embedded system product. Familiar with various medium to high power electronics converters and their control strategies. Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL and NEMA standards for power electronic converters applications. Ability to provide code verification and set code configurations. Hands on experience with HIL, SIL, MIL and PIL testing. Knowledge of embedded software test environments and systems, hardware in the loop (Real time simulators (Typhoon, or dSPACE or OpalRT). SDLC and Automated Testing using Scripts
