Network Engineer- L2 @ Foundation Manpower

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and intermittently improving our current network configuration and infrastructure. You will design our revamped network infrastructure with the goal of maximizing our network performance. Key Responsibilities: Primary responsibility includes managing the Network infrastructure of all locations. Diagnose & resolve Network issues, connectivity problems, Network hardware issues & performance bottlenecks within the Network. Configure & manage L2 & L3 Cisco Meraki Switches & Access points. Monitor & manage Network switch ports ensuring they are properly configured & operational. Create, modify & delete Network VLANs to organize & segment Network traffic. Knowledge in implementing QoS policies to prioritize Network traffic based on business Needs & Application requirements. Implement security measures such as MAC Address filtering and Port Security to protect unauthorized access. Create & maintain documentation of. Network diagrams, configuration changes, procedures including backups of all Network devices. Identify opportunities to optimize Network performance, Bandwidth & reliability. Apply firmware upgrades & Security patches to Network Switches & Devices Coordinate with ISP & Network Vendors for connectivity issues & for new network requirements Actively participate with Network vendors for troubleshooting issues related to Firewalls, CCTVs, LAN issues & any other Network requirements Build and maintain good relationships with IT colleagues, especially those in the technical resolver groups. Contribute to a teamwork atmosphere among colleagues. Any other duties seen as critical to the role. Technical Requirements Excellent knowledge in managing & configuring Cisco L2, L3 Meraki switches & Access points. Hands on work experience & excellent knowledge on SDWAN & Cisco Meraki Devices is mandatory. Good knowledge in managing Checkpoint Firewalls Excellent understanding of Networking protocols, configurations & troubleshooting Excellent trouble shooting skills at L2 Network level. Additional L3 level knowledge & troubleshooting experience is a plus. Basic understanding of cloud hosting platforms like AWS & Azure & familiarity with ITIL process. Who You Are: Graduate with overall 4 years of experience as Network Engineer CCNA certified but not mandatory. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills. Good at Logical and Analytical reasoning Positive attitude and motivation to deliver and ensure highest quality deliverables. Able to respond positively and calmly to shifting priorities, demands and timelines. Proficiency in leading both physical and virtual teams Exceptional end user facing skills. Strong organizational skills Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
