Job Description

About the role: The IT System Support Engineer will work closely with the Information Security team to maintain the Information Security posture on the IT systems which includes and is not limited to laptops, office network firewalls, switches and access points etc. The System Support Engineer will also be supporting various service requests such as laptop issues and not limited to screen sharing or OS rebuild etc. This role reports to the Head of Information Security and will be a member of the Apexx Information Security Team and will also act as a site SPOC ( IT & Security ) for Apexx - Pune Office and Apexx-Bangalore offices. Responsibilities: Ensure all laptops and IT systems are inline to Apexx Security requirements which includes and not limited to hardening, OS patching etc. Responsible for systems access controls, including the onboarding and offboarding of resources from business systems and managing access audits Responsible for installing and updating the antivirus. agents on the end points Responsible for testing the anti-virus and anti-malware protection solutions on the end points Manage the endpoint management system, including OS upgrades / patch management to device estate and threat management Scan devices for vulnerabilities and fix vulnerabilities by installing relevant patches or fixes Manage the asset inventory and upkeep and the timely audits of asset inventory Manage, respond and resolve business systems IT support cases within SLAs Requirements: Experience in IT as a System Support Engineer, Systems Administrator, Network administration, or similar Strong knowledge on the desktop operating systems such as Windows and Mac OS Strong knowledge of Network and Security and exposure to Network Switches and other Networking or Firewall devices Having a certification on CCNA ( Cisco ) or any IT related certifications is desirable Analytical and problem-solving capabilities Able to articulate the issues and have strong written and verbal communication in English Should be willing to travel across our locations including Bangalore and support as needed for business requirements Benefits & Perks Aside from the opportunity to work for a tech-scale up, having great responsibility and varied tasks every day, other benefits includes: Health Insurance (Employee, spouse, and two children) optional cover for parents 13 personal days per year + 9 festival Holidays Birthday off & a paid day leave for volunteer work Enrichment: Learning and development training, with a yearly budget, to strengthen your career and progression.
