Job Description

: Data Research And Analysis Identify candidate datasets based on the requirements specified in any submitted data research requests Conduct initial and detailed data evaluations on new data or third-party information services, including potential loading and ongoing maintenance issues Establish the quality of data and its suitability/limitations for use by customers and within Landmark products and services. Where necessary provide suitable data samples or visualisations to the internal stake holders using suitable applications or platforms such as QGIS or PowerBi to present the data or results analysis Deliver timely, succinct and accurate data and research reports, including insightful qualitative and quantitative analysis and research relating to new datasets requested by the business Impact Analysis Provide statistical and spatial analysis of. datasets to aid the understanding of the impact of the adoption of these datasets within Landmark's reports and services and within its propriety risk models and assocaited workflow at a GB level Ensure that any candidate datasets meet the operational requirements of as specified by the Risk Model SMEs Data Consultancy Act as the initial SME for these new datasets to provide advice to internal stakeholders including product and software engineering Qualifications & Training Qualification in GIS or Data related discipline or equivalent professional experience Exhibits attention to detail Has an inquisitive nature and a desire to understand and resolve problems At least 2 year's experience working in a data analysis role involving geospatial data At least 2 year's practical experience of using GIS software such as QGIS and ETL software such as FME for data preparation, analysis and presentation Practical experience of geospatial datasets within a UK context and their analysis Familiarity of database technologies such as Oracle or PostGIS Practical knowledge and experience in Python and SQL Practical experience of analysis results presentation and writing including the use of PowerBi Cloud based data loading & Storage Practical experience of datasets related to climate change and their analysis (ref:hirist.com
