ENSURE TIMELY COMPLETION OF TAX AUDIT, TRANSFER PRICING STUDY, 3CA, 3CB, 3CD, 3CEB, 3CEAA, 10-IC AND 29B, FILING OF INCOME TAX RETURNS, TDS RETURNS WITH ANALYSIS OF THE ISSUES INVOLVED AND EFFECTIVE LIAISON WITH AUDITOR EFFECTIVE REPRESENTATION BEFORE TAX DEPT. APPEARING BEFORE TAX AUTHORITIES WITH REGARD TO RECTIFICATIONS, APPEAL EFFECTS, STAY PETITIONS, TRANSFER OF JURISDICTION, VARIOUS OTHER NOTICES LIKE PENALTY, EARLY HEARING, PURSUE REFUNDS BY MINIMISING DELAYS. EFFECTIVE & TIMELY REPLIES TO QUERIES & TAX NOTICES FOR MINIMISING ADVERSE IMPLICATIONS, DATA COLLATION, DETAILED ANALYSIS & SUBMISSION PREPARATIONS ON THE ISSUES INVOLVED & REPRESENTATION BEFORE AUTHORITIES. POST ASSESSMENT PROCEEDINGS, FILING APPEALS, DRAFTING & FINALISNG SUBMISSIONS BEFORE CIT-A, PREPARATION OF PAPER. BOOKS, ATTENDING HEARINGS BEFORE INCOME TAX AUTHORITIES AND 1ST APPELLATE AUTHORITIES, EFFECTIVE LIASOINING WITH CONSULTANTS FOR ITAT/ DRP/ HC PROCEEDINGS. ENSURING HEARING DATES OF LITIGATIONS ARE MET. PERIODIC IDENTIFICATION OF TAX ISSUES, WORKINGS FOR VARIOUS REORGANISATION / RATIONALISATION PROPOSALS, IND-AS IMPACT, SUPPORT TO BUSINESS, MISC WORK (LIKE 15 CA/CB, FATCA, MIS UPDATION, ONLINE NOTICES ETC) FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:- Should have independently handled direct tax of multiple entities in a medium sized group. Should have excellent understanding of Direct Tax and allied laws and should well versed with current developments and changes. Should have independently handled Assessment and Appeals before 1st appellate for at least 3 years. Hands on Experience in Direct Tax Compliances, Transaction Advisory, Transaction management. Should have exposure to Transfer Pricing, basic understanding of DTAA, and allied laws. Well Versed with procedural law of filing the tax returns, tax payments, Tax Assessments, Tax Audit, Department Audit, filing of appeals, and drafting of submissions with tax authorities. Requisite Organization and Management Skills. Excellent Interpersonal Skills. KEY DELIVERABLES: Independent Handling of Direct Tax function of all businesses in a Vertical. Adequate Planning, risk assurance and effective delivery. Ensuring timely Tax payments & Filing of Tax Forms. Accurate overall tax evaluation with clarity in legal positions and due diligence with demonstrable risk assurance with methodical underlying workings. Tax optimization and identification and resolution of probable Tax issues. Effective Representation of Tax hearings/Appeal Hearings. Effective Liaising with Tax Authorities Transaction Advisory and Vetting Qualification : CA Experience: 10+ Yrs in Direct Taxation profile. Behavioral Skills Work in and/or lead interdisciplinary and/or cross-cultural teams. Excellent communication, presentation skills and writing skills. Should be a team player Should have good analytic and planning skills
