Job Description

Job Title: Legal Advisor for E-commerce (Travel and Tourism) The Legal Advisor will possess a strong background in U.S. law, particularly in the areas of contracts, contract disputes, and general legal matters. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring our business operates in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities: Legal Counsel: Provide expert legal guidance and counsel to our Travel company, addressing a variety of legal matters, including but not limited to contracts, contract disputes, and general legal concerns. Contract Drafting and Review: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to the website, such as terms of service, privacy policies, and user agreements. Ensure that these documents protect the company's interests while also being fair to consumers. Data Privacy: Oversee data protection and privacy matters, including compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) or CCPA. (California Consumer Privacy Act). Develop and implement data protection policies and practices. Intellectual Property: Protect the company's intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Take action against any infringements and advise on how to avoid infringing on others" intellectual property. Contract Disputes: Handle legal disputes that may arise from online transactions, customer complaints, or other website-related issues. This may involve negotiations, mediation, or litigation. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that affect e-commerce and B2C websites. Adapt the company's practices accordingly. Risk Assessment: Identify and assess legal risks associated with the company's online activities and work to minimize these risks. Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on specific issues, ensuring that our company's decisions are well-informed and aligned with legal precedents. Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure legal compliance in all aspects of the website's operations. Training and Education: Provide training and guidance to the company's staff on legal matters related to the website, ensuring that employees understand and follow relevant laws and policies. Qualifications: Prior experience in e-commerce, digital law, or related fields. Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations. Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with technology and online platforms
