Job Description

: As a Backend Engineer, you'll be instrumental in architecting, developing, and refining the backend systems that power our innovative Mobile SDK. This backend will be vital in offering a subscription management solution that is interfacing with merchant websites, mirroring methodologies similar to selenium, and serving navigation instructions to the SDK. With the evolving of merchant websites, the backend should be equipped to potentially leverage AI to detect site changes and auto-update navigation instructions. Given our roots in the banking sphere, a steadfast dedication to quality and rigorous security protocols is non-negotiable. Collaborating with various teams, your expertise will ensure impeccable integration and consistent performance of the SDK within the overarching system. Responsibilities: Design and implement robust backend services, primarily using Java/Kotlin, Quarkus, and PostgreSQL. Develop API endpoints that provide navigation instructions to the Mobile SDK, enabling seamless user interactions. Create comprehensive test processes to validate Selenium-like navigation instructions ensuring reliability. Research and potentially employ AI tools to detect changes in merchant websites and automate updates to navigation instructions. Ensure smooth integration of the system with infrastructure, which houses databases loaded with merchant information. Uphold and reinforce stringent security standards in alignment with the sensitive nature of banking applications. Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams, understanding and addressing multifaceted project requirements. Keep abreast of the latest backend technologies and methodologies to ensure our systems remain state-of-the-art. Requirements: Minimum 3 years of deep-rooted experience in backend development, preferably with Java/Kotlin. Proficiency in using Quarkus and PostgreSQL to develop scalable and reliable systems. Hands-on experience in creating and managing API endpoints. An understanding of web navigation paradigms akin to selenium and their backend implications. A forward-thinking approach, with an interest in exploring AI applications in backend systems. Strong emphasis on security best practices, especially within the context of fintech or banking. Exceptional team collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate intricate technical details effectively. Adaptability to work in a dynamic scale-up environment, swiftly transitioning based on project needs
