Job Description

Summary of the Role: To maintain sub divisions like Electrical, Mechanical, CMD, Washing Plants, Boilers, ETP, STP and other Utilities. Take ownership in sustaining achieved targets of energy management. Duties & Responsibilities: To control and delegate responsibilities to respective team members. To update management regularly about day to day commitments, execution of project activities, changes of plans, status of work undertaken, planned schedules and financial matters. To arrange meetings with different suppliers of machinery for discussion. Have adequate knowledge on the quality and efficiency of machines before finalizing the purchase. To negotiate the prices (targeting least sold price) along with extra benefits like FOC spares, maximum credit facilities, additional warranties, etc. in order to reduce total cost. To claim insurance in case of damages to imported machines in transit or during transportation in coordination with finance department. To maintain. comprehensive plan with team for preventative maintenance as per schedule. To convene appropriate training program for all technicians and electricians. To analyze Energy consumption before passing Power Bills. To emphasize more on power management by adopting maximum usage of natural resources of energy. To adopt eco-friendly practices in all possible manners. To ensure timely calibration of measuring tools/meters/instruments, etc. and servicing of DG sets, Air compressors, RO systems and all other equipment. To manage and approve the new project requirements for electro-mechanical/civil items as per approved budget and ensure to mobilize project team and material for execution of the project as per plan. To appraise finance department of monthly budget in advance to ensure timely payment and timely completion of projects, departmental activities. To strictly comply with compliance norms lay down by local regulatory bodies like fire department, pollution control board, department of factories and boilers, electrical department and so on. To coordinate with EHS department for maintaining and smooth functioning of STP & ETP. Responsible for inventory of machinery, electrical equipment, folders & attachments and furniture & fixture and get all inventories audited periodically. To identify potential and deserving employees and develop them to take higher responsibilities in maintenance domain. To ensure leak proof water pipe lines in all units by periodical maintenance and replacement of plumbing items. To maintain all furniture & fixture in good condition by timely repair and replacement. To coordinate with EHS department for disposal of all types of scraps to authorised vendors. To ensure all machines, equipments are bar coded and recorded in respective inventory. To appraise management about disused machines and obtain approval to sell them off under proper sale invoice raised in compliance with the tax norms. To execute any alterations/ new production layout/plan in conjunction with compliance and EHS department
