Job Description
- Maintenance of Facility Department operation as per stated standards and ensuring the optimum utilization of resources.
- Ensure overall cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep of the entire hospital properties.
- Ensure proper manpower deployment for all patient care areas to facilitate smooth housekeeping function.
- Inspection rounds on floors and public areas to ensure cleaning standards are met.
- Pest Control Management.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste as per the defined protocols by the attendant.
- Regular upgradation of housekeeping cleaning supplies, equipment, materials and cleaning schedules.
- Monitor the service activities and delivery of the Outsourced services.
- Ensure timely receipt of housekeeping materials and appliances from general stores, their proper storage and control on their issue/consumption.
- Implement all decisions of the management relating to Facility Dept. promptly and effectively.
- Ensure timely collect of the housekeeping allocation sheet from housekeeping vendor on a daily basis.
- Ensure that safety risks associated with engineering and Electric activities are assessed and that appropriate checks, controls and precautions are taken.
- Check daily electrical, lifts and DG systems of Hospital buildings to ensure functionality.
- Keep all maintenance logs and report on daily and Weekly activities.
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
Required Candidate profile
Relevant experience within hospital is a must
- Analytical Skills: Facilities managers must look at different information and make decisions based on needs and budget concerns
- Communication: Facilities managers should be able to talk to their employees and work with management to make sure the job gets done and able to clearly explain what needs to be done will be necessary
- Attention to Detail: Quality control is a large part of a facilities manager's job. Making sure cleaning, upkeep and safety standards are maintained, or efficiencies are discovered, is key
- Leadership Skills: Facilities managers must motivate and coordinate employees, as well as deal with any disciplinary issues that may come up
