Position Title: Senior Contract Specialist Department: Contracts and Procurement Location: Thane Reports To: Director Job Summary: The Sr. Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of contracts within the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company. This role involves negotiating and drafting contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, mitigating risks, and fostering positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Key Responsibilities: Contract Development and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including but not limited to EPC contracts, subcontractor agreements, and vendor contracts. Ensure that contracts align with legal and company requirements, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions. Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts and propose mitigation strategies. Work closely with legal and project management teams to address legal and. contractual issues promptly. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards. Track and manage change orders, variations, and amendments. Contract Administration: Establish and maintain a centralized contract management system. Manage documentation, including contract filing, version control, and communication of changes to relevant stakeholders. Relationship Management: Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Resolve disputes and conflicts through effective communication and negotiation. Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates to project teams, management, and other relevant stakeholders on contract status and potential risks. Prepare reports on contract performance and compliance. Budget Oversight: Collaborate with the finance department to monitor and control project budgets related to contracts. Ensure that contracts are financially viable and contribute to the overall profitability of the projects. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry best practices and legal developments related to contracts. Identify opportunities for process improvement within the contract management function. Qualifications and Requirements: BE Civil & Law, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, JD) is a plus. Proven experience as Contract Manager in the EPC industry. 10 to 15 Years of Experience Strong understanding of legal and contractual principles. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of project management principles and practices. Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Additional Information: Travel may be required based on project needs. This position may involve working outside standard business hours to meet project deadlines
