Job Description
- Clear knowledge of Manufacturing process of aerospace components. Aerospace structural components and hydraulic actuator assemblies process knowledge is added advantage.
- Latest cutting tools and cutting parameters for various base materials like Al, TI, Steel alloys.
- Cycle time estimation for the entire process with high accuracy.
- Basic knowledge on CATIA/Uni graphics
- Knowledge in reading customer drawings, Understanding CTQs and deriving process to achieve recommended quality.
- Use of implicit and explicit functions of Model Based definition drawings. Capturing customer requirement in full for estimation.
- Knowledge on Fixturing and machining ability of various machines.
- Raw material size calculation and clear understanding on standard parts vs manufacturing parts.
- MHR and tool cost calculation for new products and new lines.
- Review and analyze customer RFQ documents including but not limited to specifications, data sheets, blueprints, drawings to determine material requirement, labor, processing time and effectively quote job accurately.
- Understanding of chemical/Special process, masking, aerospace painting, and grinding.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable process specifications and understands cause and effect relationships with pre and post process operations.
- Capturing assembly sequence and preparing process sequence for assembly.
- Estimating of assembly timings by visualizing assembly methods and tools used.
- Ensure RFQ meets company approved processing specifications.
- Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure the customer needs are met before time.
- Create quote packages that best convey companys ability to meet customer requirements
- Interface with Sales & BD team to accomplish RFQ Tasks. Interaction with machine tool , special tool manufacturers for taking basic machine quotes when ever required.
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and written.
- Develop and maintain engineering tooling concept, Fixturing concept utilizing 3D CAD software is added advantage.
Education BE - 7 year or DME 12 year.
Preferred Aerospace experience .
