Team Introduction The TikTok Tax team is. building to work with other corporate functions on tax advisory, planning, structuring, and tax controversy. We ensure compliance with direct (corporate income tax) and indirect tax and solve tax-related issues. We are seeking a tax assistant manager to be based in Mumbai / Gurgaon. The candidate must have strong tax technique skills and capable in dealing with tax audit/litigations. Responsibilities: Manage tax inquiries and handle tax audits conducted by the tax authorities; Lead team in optimising end-to-end tax compliance procedures to mitigate risks and improve efficiency with coordination with other finance teams where relevant; Research on tax legislation changes and assess the implications and ultimately suggest steps to manage those changes if applicable; Provide tax support on various projects as well as ad-hoc tax matters. Qualifications Working experience in tax across Big 4 / MNCs i.e. TMT industry experience with experience covering Indian taxes; Qualified professional qualifications such as chartered accountant or other industry recognised qualifications; Ability to clearly communicate tax technical issues to non-tax professionals; Effective oral and written communication skills coupled with strong problem-solving skills and a good team player; Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; and ByteDance is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
