Job Description
Vignet Health, a rapidly growing health-tech product based company, is seeking aSoftware Engineerwith a solid understanding ofdesign, data structure, and computer science fundamentals. You have excellent communication skills to understand what the customer / business needs are and translate them into the right implementation of services / user interfaces. You will be able to take on a variety of projects, from building a high- performance back-end to a web-based analytics tool, to building robust and highly available clustered services, to extending the abilities of people to collaborate on data at intranet and Internet scales. You will do this and more in a highly collaborative environment full of talented professionals who are dedicated to helping people.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with server and mobile phone technologies and has a passion for making a difference in people's lives.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Design and implement key features in our enterprise-level web application with rich client-side functionality
- Ability to dig into frameworks and libraries to troubleshoot issues outside the code you write
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code while promoting best software development practices and embracing emerging standards
- Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Create and maintain software documentation
Our Perfect Candidate:
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of design and development of highly scalable web-based Java applications
- Experience developing restful web services in Spring Framework
- Experience with large scale enterprise server-based deployments (Kafka/Zookeper/Hadoop)
- Familiarity with building data pipelines is a big plus!
- Experience with Hibernate/SQL
- Experienced in Junit
- Experienced in various version control tools such as SVN, Git
- Familiar with Agile Software Development principal and tools
- Ability to communicate to all levels of users (internal and external), strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership.
