Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Install, calibrate, and maintain various instruments and control systems, including sensors, transmitters, controllers, and actuators.
2. Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
3. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and functionality of instrumentation systems.
4. Collaborate with other departments, such as electrical and mechanical, to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation systems with plant operations.
5. Perform routine inspections and tests on instrumentation equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
6. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment manuals, maintenance logs, and calibration reports.
7. Stay updated with the latest developments in instrumentation technology and recommend upgrades or improvements to existing systems.
8. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with electrical and instrumentation equipment.
9. Provide training and support to junior technicians and plant operators on instrumentation systems and procedures.
10. Participate in plant shutdowns and turnarounds, assisting with maintenance activities as required.

Qualifications:

1. Diploma or ITI qualification n Instrumentation Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as an Instrumentation Technician in an industrial environment, preferably in the cement or similar heavy manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles, control systems, and PLC programming.
4. Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
5. Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and computerized control systems.
6. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex instrumentation issues.
7. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
