Job Description We are seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Operator to join our team. As a CAD/CAM Operator, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to produce high-quality components and products. Your primary focus will be on transforming conceptual designs into technical drawings and implementing efficient manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings based on project requirements and specifications. Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project objectives and translate them into accurate technical drawings. Develop CNC programs using CAM software to automate the manufacturing process. Optimize designs for manufacturing efficiency, taking into account material properties, production methods, and cost-effectiveness. Perform quality checks on designs and prototypes to ensure they meet industry standards and client expectations. Troubleshoot. and resolve any design or manufacturing issues that arise during the production process. Maintain accurate documentation of designs, revisions, and manufacturing processes. Stay updated on advancements in CAD/CAM technologies and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and quality. Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM). Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings. Experience with CNC machining and programming is preferred. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus.
