Job Description

An electrical engineer is a person who studies engineering, math, and physics in order to use these technologies to design new electrical equipment, devices, or systems.

Examples of electrical engineering projects include planning, designing, and installing new electrical systems, control systems, and electrical equipment.

Electrical engineers work with a wide range of technologies including computers, medical devices, power generation, and telecommunications.

Electrical engineers design electrical systems for industrial plants, factories, and office buildings.

They design electrical control systems for power plants, airplanes, and ships.

Electrical engineers also design electrical systems and equipment for hospitals, schools, and office buildings.

Job Brief:

Were looking for an Electrical Engineer to work with us on our next big project. Youll be responsible for helping to design and oversee the construction of the electrical system. If youre up for the challenge, wed love to have you on our team.

Electrical Engineer Duties:

• Expedite and manage workload and project/task priorities; provide project guidance and leadership to employees.
• Develop site plans, estimates, and budgets for electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, including performing repairs.
• Understand and adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
• Work closely with architects and engineers on projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems, including electrical systems engineering, power distribution, lighting, standby power, and high voltage systems.
• Create electrical designs for electrical facilities including mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, including power distribution and lighting.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications.
• Review contractors application for payment.
• Analyze existing system conditions, including outages, downtime, maintenance, and parts inventory.
• Develop energy code compliance plan.
