Job Description

Position Summary Manager - Financial Accounting & Control will be responsible overall delivery of financial reporting and control related centralised services provided by the finance CoE to the subsidiaries of the London Stock Exchange Group. The role is focused on handling the services provided to the Group, Global processes, improvement in execution, building resilience and working with key stakeholders to on board new activities. The successful candidate will hold a pivotal role in team and require project management skills, technical skills, and the ability to proactively lead key internal and external relationships. Role Responsibilities Responsible for timely and accurate accounting with a primary focus on Revenue Accounting and Reporting in line with the global accounting policies and procedures of Group. External and Internal Audit Coordination. Finance Systems Coordination. Active involvement in driving key Finance Projects. Identify any risks and process gaps and. propose and implement remedial measures. Work closely with the Financial Controls team to ensure adherence to the Controls Framework. Ensure that the teams meet tight reporting and audit deadlines. Support internal and external audit procedures by providing timely information. Responsible on boarding new scope and aligning to standard operating model. Ensure that proper balance sheet controls are in place and the teams are aligned. Gain and maintain an excellent understanding of key business processes. Develop standardised training documents to ensure proper on boarding of new team members. Design and supervise performance to measure team performance and report on the same. Build resilience and succession plans for key roles within the team. Liaise with the Finance Systems Support teams in identifying improvements or vital corrective actions needed. Support group projects and change management activities. Any other Ad-hoc requirements. Preferred Skills And Experience Professional Accounting Qualification and/or a degree in a related field with a minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience. Background in a finance shared services would be an added advantage. Strong background in implementing and monitoring Financial Controls. Good knowledge on technical accounting concepts and principles. Ability to build strong working relationships with global colleagues. Able to deliver results through effective problem solving and collaboration with others in the team as also across functions. Ability to adapt to evolving business and regulatory environments and lead multiple priorities. Willingness to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment. Effective oral and written communication that resonates with the target audience. Attention to detail and accuracy oriented. Ability to work according to UK work hours. Planning and prioritising according to business needs. Experience in SAP/Oracle Fusion/Oracle and Blackline would be preferred.
