Job Description Responsibilities Work with the larger engineering team to identify & implement optimal cloud-based solutions for the company. Planning, designing and implementing cloud-based applications Managing and deploying cloud environments in accordance with the best security paradigms. Educating teams on the implementation and management of new cloud based initiatives, sharing associated training as required. Overseeing, managing and implementation of the complete organizations cloud infrastructure. Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design of solutions based organizational requirements. Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance. Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance Troubleshoot incidents, identify. root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures Requirements Skills & Experience Minimum of 4 years experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms. Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Masters degree a plus. Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Certification, and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification a plus. (Other cloud-related certification also a plus.) Three years experience in developing software using languages such as Python, PHP and SQL databases - MySql, NoSQL - Cassandra, Mongo DB. Experience with SOA applications and cloud-based services, preferably AWS.
