Job Title: Lab Technician

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Technical Textiles

3-4 years of work experience in a textile, coating, or lamination-related role

Job Summary:

Conduct laboratory experiments and tests to support textile production processes, particularly in the areas of coating and lamination.

Assist in the development and optimization of textile coatings and lamination techniques to enhance product performance and quality.

Responsibilities:

Perform coating and lamination trials on various textile substrates according to established procedures.

Conduct physical and chemical tests on coated/laminated materials to assess performance characteristics such as adhesion, durability, and barrier properties.

Analyse test results and prepare detailed reports summarizing findings for review by senior staff.

Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality.

Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to coating and lamination processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, production, and quality control, to support product development and improvement initiatives.

Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies relevant to textile coatings and laminates.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in conducting laboratory experiments and tests, with a strong emphasis on coating and lamination techniques.

Knowledge of textile materials, including fibbers, yarns, and fabrics, and their properties.

Familiarity with testing methods and standards related to textile coatings and laminates (e.g., ASTM, ISO).

Experience with equipment commonly used in textile laboratories, such as coating machines, laminators, and testing instruments (e.g., tensile testers, spectrophotometers).
