Role description

  • The Learning Platforms Manager works to ensure that customers are at the center of our efforts. The
  • Learning Platforms Manager works closely with EUC Learning Leaders, Content Development and Partner Leaders to support VMware Learning offerings that maximize customers ability to consume VMware technology.
  • Ideal candidates have a demonstrated technical ability to understand and demonstrate Learning
  • Management Systems to internal stakeholders, drive collaborative, informed data-driven business planning efforts and are outstanding in relationship-building & stakeholder engagement. They are entrepreneurial, enjoy working with technical teams, can easily distill which factors are important, is a self-directed learner and has a demonstrated passion for the success of our customers.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

  • Maintain and ensure the performance of a Learning Platform.
  • Offer technical leadership to support the system.
  • Define and monitor user roles.
  • Stay updated on system specifications and updates from Learning Platform providers.
  • Collaborate with VMware IT to support integrated backend systems.
  • Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements.
  • Report and address any defects found.
  • Communicate changes to users as necessary.
  • Maintain procedures for system security and integrity.
  • Provide end-user support when required.

Skills and Competencies

Required Skills

  • Experience with learning platforms, preferably Docebo.
  • Proficient in computer software and applications.
  • Familiarity with course design and development.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in electronic data management.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles.
  • Quick troubleshooting and technical issue resolution.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Understanding of customer requirements and challenges.
  • Ability to influence across functions to achieve results.
  • Capable of making data-driven decisions and justifications.
  • Preferably, knowledge of product lifecycle, content development, and learning platforms.
  • Willingness to learn new technology and products quickly.
  • Clear written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to present business cases to senior leadership.
  • Capable of working independently and with cross-functional teams.

Educational Requirement
bachelors degree or equivalent required

Desirable years of experience
  • 5 to 8 years of industry experience.
  • Experience in online education/platform development required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Learning Platforms (LMS, LXP, etc).
  • Preferably, significant commercial experience with VMware Learning customers.
  • Must have a high level of technical aptitude.
  • Experience in managing or developing customer education programs is necessary.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to engage executive stakeholders.
