  • As a Medical Officer in Internal Medicine, you will be responsible for providing primary and specialized medical care to patients within the Internal Medicine department
  • This position involves clinical responsibilities, patient management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care:Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and examinations of patients in the Internal Medicine department
  • Formulate accurate diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and implement evidence-based medical interventions
  • Monitor and manage chronic medical conditions and acute illnesses
  • Clinical Procedures:Perform and assist in various clinical procedures, including but not limited to venipuncture, IV line placement, and wound care
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory results and imaging studies, to guide patient management
  • Administer medications and ensure compliance with prescribed treatment regimens
  • Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to optimize patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education on medical conditions and treatment plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions
  • Documentation:Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records for each patient encounter
  • Document patient histories, physical examinations, treatment plans, and follow-up care
  • Ensure compliance with medical record-keeping standards and protocols
  • Emergency Response:Respond to medical emergencies within the hospital, providing immediate and appropriate medical interventions
  • Collaborate with the emergency response team to manage critical cases effectively
  • Quality Improvement:Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the Internal Medicine department
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of protocols and best practices
  • Provide feedback on areas for improvement in patient care processes
