Job Description
- Sending RFQ/ RFP and obtaining quotations from suppliers/sub-contractors (vendors).
- Analyzing quotations received to ensure compliance with specifications/requirements.
- Negotiating with suppliers for price discounts and payment terms.
- Releasing purchase orders to vendors in a timely and accurate manner.
- Overseeing delivery schedules and maintaining purchase records.
- Collaborating closely with accounts dept. to resolve and prevent invoice discrepancies.
- Maintaining high levels of communication, cooperation, and coordination with respective departments regarding purchases.
- Performing vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reducing operating costs and boost efficiency.
- Monitoring vendors performance and renegotiating contracts.
- Using quarterly and annual data to determine purchasing needs and performing inventory management.
- Conducting ongoing market research to identify beneficial purchase and potential vendors
