Senior DevOps Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and manage Azure infrastructure using ARM templates and Bicep to ensure scalability, security, and efficiency.
• Design, implement and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform an Git Actions for new projects and provide a migration path from Azure DevOps + Bicep to Github Actions + Terraform.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps/Github Actions for seamless application deployment.
• Implement and manage observability tools, ensuring comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting across the entire infrastructure.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention in deployment processes.
• Implement and maintain containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Azure Container Apps/Kubernetes on Azure.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement and enhance security measures within the Azure environment.
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of Azure resources.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues in a timely manner.
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and Azure updates to continuously improve our DevOps processes.
• Enable development teams with CI/CD knowledge and actively participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Expertise in designing and deploying infrastructure using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, and Git Actions.
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline configuration and management.
• In-depth knowledge of observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights and the Kusto Query Language (KQL) to query the logs
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Azure Container Apps/Kubernetes) on Azure.
• Previous experience in designing, implementing and maintaining Azure Search or ElasticSearch infrastructure a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
• Solid understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
