Physician Assistant - Mysore - Manipal @ Manipal Hospitals

Job Description

We are looking for a Physician Assistant who will assist for rounds with Consultants to examine patients, prescribe medicines, assist for end to end completion of consent forms, discharge summary, etc. The physician assistant will work under the supervision of the Consultant, but may work independently, consulting with Consultants when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Assist for examining and diagnosing patients' injuries and illnesses.
• Assist for ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Follow-up on the medications prescribed.
• Assist for dressing wounds, assisting during surgeries and administering immunizations.
• Reviewing and maintaining patients' medical histories and records and recording patients' progress.
• Assist to provide documentation for insurance companies.
• Educating and counseling patients and their families.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• Preference would be given to B.Sc - Physician Assistant and BAMS Candidates.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Detail oriented with good problem-solving skills.
• Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy.
• Computer Literacy.
