Job Overview
This role is part of a professional team of multi-skilled performance testers and analysts responsible for all aspects of the stress, load and performance testing of projects within Quinnox clients on multi-platform, multi-client and multi-functional systems and supporting environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Part of a single / multi location team
- Design, Prepare and Execute Medium / Complex test cases
- Daily Test Execution reporting
- Defect Logging / Analysis / Closure
- Convert and validate customer requirements into test requirements
- Review test artefacts for other Test Analyst and Junior test analysts.
- Test execution co-ordination for a test phase
- Knowledge share the testing skills to other team members
- Compliance to agreed standards and processes.
Experience & Qualifications
Key Skills & Knowledge required
Accessibility testing Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines such as Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in using accessibility testing tools such as screen readers (e.g., JAWS, NVDA), browser extensions (e.g., Axe, WAVE), and automated testing tools (e.g., Accessibility Insights, Tenon) to identify accessibility issues in web and mobile applications.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies used by people with disabilities, including screen readers, magnifiers, voice recognition software, and alternative input devices, to assess how users interact with digital products.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to understand how web pages are structured and styled, and to implement accessibility features such as semantic markup, keyboard navigation, and ARIA attributes.
- Ability to perform manual and automated accessibility testing using various methodologies, including manual inspection, automated scans, and user testing with assistive technologies and real users with disabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify accessibility barriers and propose effective solutions to address them, considering both technical feasibility and user experience considerations.
- Keen attention to detail to identify subtle accessibility issues that may impact users with disabilities, such as missing alternative text for images, inadequate color contrast, or inaccessible form controls.
- Empathy towards users with disabilities and a user-centric mindset to prioritize accessibility requirements and advocate for the needs of diverse user groups throughout the development process.
- Commitment to staying updated on the latest trends, techniques, and tools in accessibility testing through self-study, attending conferences, participating in webinars, and obtaining relevant certifications (e.g., IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies).
