About the role
The IT Projects Delivery Lead (SAP) is accountable for planning and managing the delivery of SAP and integrated systems projects to agreed scope, schedule and budget and in accordance with agreed methodologies and standards.
What you will be doing
Leadership
- Work collaboratively with the business, technical, functional and architecture teams to manage project delivery
- Plan, manage and drive tasks aligned to a program or project in accordance with the broader project management methodology and processes
- Identifying areas of continuous process improvements
- Driving an inclusive culture in line with Orica Charter and Values with a focus on prioritising key areas as indicated through focus groups or internal assessment.
Stakeholder Management
- Understand the objectives and requirements set by the program or project sponsor.
- Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with the program or project sponsor, business and IT stakeholders.
- Provide regular status updates to the program or project sponsor and stakeholders in appropriate business language, including key risk and decision points.
- Work closely with the functional/technical consultants and solution architects to align solution and business outcomes
Program and Project Management
- Understand the objectives and requirements of a specific IT program or project and plan the appropriate scope, schedule, budget and resourcing to deliver the program or project outcomes.
- Adhere to IT PMO project management methodologies, standards and tools.
- Manage programs and projects to agreed scope, schedule, budget and resourcing.
- Raise and manage program and project risks, issues and scope changes in accordance with IT PMO processes and tools
What you will bring
- SAP S4 HANA/ECC6 experience and understanding of integrating modules and systems
- Tertiary qualified, preferably in an IT-related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in an IT (SAP focused preferred) project management role.
- 5+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile implementation approaches.
- Skills and experience of key project management disciplines, including management of scope, budget, schedule and resourcing.
- Ability to manage concurrent and potentially unrelated projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering enterprise-wide solutions across geographically diverse locations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation.
- Strong stakeholder-engagement and customer-facing skills and experience, with the ability to understand requirements, manage expectations and maintain strong working relationships.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills.
