As an Interaction Designer at RealPage, you will collaborate closely with product designers and researchers as part of a design pod. Your primary responsibility will be to bring our design system to life within specific product contexts, breathing life into wireframes and creating interactive and intuitive user interfaces. As a member of our Design Systems group, you are passionate about atomic design, mobile and data visualization best practices, and helping internal teams and our users work more efficiently and collaborate more effectively using a common design language.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with product designers and researchers to translate user needs and design goals into intuitive user interfaces.
Champion and enforce design standards to maintain consistency across all digital products.
Create design solutions that align with our established design system and brand guidelines
Synthesize usability testing insights to iterate and improve designs
Learning, applying and advancing our design system
Work closely with developers to ensure the successful implementation of designs
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in interaction design
Create and maintain documentation for interaction design guidelines and best practices.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
3-5 years of interaction design experience for software; desktop and mobile applications which leverage emergent technologies
Conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability, drawing skills preferred
Strong working knowledge of design systems and best practices.
Design skills, high production values and attention to detail
Strong working knowledge of prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
Excellent communication and collaboration skills (very important)
Able to prioritize tasks effectively
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Understanding of common software project management practices
Understanding of common software development practices
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS. Development experience is a plus.
4-year+ degree, BA or BS in design, information sciences, HCI, or psychology
