Position Title: IT Analyst Technical Infrastructure - Network Services Job Location: Thiruvallur, India Job Summary: This position will provide level 2/3 support for LAN / WLAN Network Services as the primary contact in Thiruvallur, India including troubleshooting, design, QA, as well as procurement support. In addition, the position will provide backup level 2 support primarily for all sites in India and occasionally sites across Asia Pacific as needed. Job Duties / Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Configure and install network switches and Access Points for new or upgraded service. Maintain site documentation according to network standards. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary, on/off-shift and during weekends. Providing expert technical support to facilitate resolution of complex issues and site device failures. Investigate & recover service interruptions. Apply switch IOS upgrades to maintain/keep devices on supported code levels. Create and maintain VLAN configurations to maintain architected network segmentations. Support installation and testing of new network drops and fiber runs. Adherence to Technology controls and security protocols. Required Qualifications: Candidate must have a Computer Science or Business degree, or 4 years relevant IT / network experience Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English Working knowledge of Cisco network hardware and software Ability to work independently and manage ones time as well as being a collaborative team member Availability to work off-shift when needed Top Candidates will also have: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Experience with automation technologies and scripting Experience working in a manufacturing environment Understanding of IT Service Management and ITIL based support processes Additional Information: Caterpillar is not currently hiring individuals for this position who now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status; however, as a global company, Caterpillar offers many job opportunities outside of the U.S. which can be found through our employment website at www.caterpillar.com/careers Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO) EEO/AA Employer.
