Cloud Engineer- AWS & Azure @ Manthan Software

As a Cloud Engineer, you will work with diverse data analytics technologies on the Cloud and build tools and automation to eliminate manual operations and craft repeatable processes, thereby maintaining a highly available service infrastructure for deploying instances, applying operating system updates, managing configuration changes, and system tuning of Manthan SaaS products on Amazon Web Services.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support for Linux, Windows hosts and Native AWS Managed services and their monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving problems, along with collaborating with a team of cloud engineers to improve the platform.

Experience: 5 - 8 years overall, 4+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services with one or more AWS Certifications and 2+ years of experience with Azure Responsibilities Include

• Proactively maintain and manage the cloud environment
• Design and build a large-scale web application in either AWS or Azure
• Good understanding ofCloudDesign Patterns
• Drive secure cost-efficient implementations
• Manage and troubleshoot issues which include following escalation paths, both internally and externally and liaison with cloud vendors.
• Collaborate with technologists across the company to build cloud native applications
• Approaching work with a DevOps and continuous improvement mindset
• Ensure consistency with cloud architectural guiding principles for assigned projects
• Keep up-to-date with emerging cloud technology trends on AWS
• Work in a highly collaborative and dynamic agile team environment with multiple levels of technology staff across various geographical locations
• Apply principles of trust, transparency, accountability and ownership
• Anticipate needs and implications of decisions, proactively working to identify, clarify, and resolve issues, and removing barriers within and outside the organization in a timely manner.

Technical Essentials

• Solid knowledge of AWS platform and its services - including but not limited to: AMIs, Route53, VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, SQS, Cloud Watch ,Lambda, DynamoDB
• Expertise in AWS networking and security (RDS, EC2, Route53, VPC, Subnet, Security Groups, firewall, routing, VPN, DNS, digital certificates, IAM etc.)
• Experience with AWS Data Analytics Stack (S3, RDS, Redshift, EMR, EC2, Athena etc.)
• Experience in containers and dockers.
• Experience on AWS EKS and ECS services.
• Experience scripting and programming for systems administration using shell and or python,
• Automation and configuration management using Ansible, Terraform and Packer (Puppet or Chef experience welcome)
• CLI and API scripting (Bash/Shell, Python, Javascript). Proficiency in Java a must.
• Experienced in Security - End to end security model, from all access points, VPCs, Regions and external connections, IAM roles- Network knowledge (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, Load balancing)-
• Experience in Linux and networking operations, Networking Direct Connect/VPC, NACLs, security groups, etc.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including network configuration,
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging in AWS. Deep knowledge in system performance and analyzing root cause
• Experience in System sizing, Capacity Planning and Cost management tools that integrate with AWS
• Experience in security infrastructure/vulnerabilities and Web Application Security.
• Experience with application / platform hardening especially on public cloud platforms (AWS)

Preferred:

• Certification in AWS or Azure is a big plus.

• Self-motivated team player with strong analytical, relationship management with effective written and oral communication skills.
